ABOUT

Japan once changed the world through art.

In the 19th century, Japanese Ukiyo-e traveled across the sea, significantly influencing artists such as Claude Monet and Vincent van Gogh.

They were captivated by the Japanese aesthetic of appreciating blank spaces, nature, light, and the changing seasons. This encounter brought a new perspective to their expressions and greatly impacted the development of modern art.

Japanese culture once moved the world of art.

And now.

REBLANC aims to rekindle that dialogue with culture in contemporary everyday life.

The Meaning Behind REBLANC

The name REBLANC is a combination of the French words Riz (rice) and Blanc (white).

White rice, central to the Japanese dining table, harmonizes with any ingredient, enhancing each one's appeal to create a cohesive meal.

We, too, aspire to be such a presence.

Artisan and artisan. Region and region. Culture and culture. And, person and person.

A place where the values each possesses meet, and new stories are born.

REBLANC wishes to be a hub that connects cultures, nurtures value, and delivers it to the world.

About REBLANC

In Japan, there is culture that has been inherited over hundreds of years.

Pottery. Crafts. Handicrafts. Materials rooted in the land. And, techniques passed down from person to person.

However, much of it is still not sufficiently known to the world.

What REBLANC aims for is not to create new culture.

It is to re-examine the culture inherited across Japan, translate it into modern life, and deliver it to the world.

Culture is not something to be adorned; it lives on by being used in daily life and passed down.

We aim for a future where Japanese aesthetics once again blend into the world's daily life, and new dialogues are born.

REBLANC continues that dialogue through everyday life.
